I just spent the last nine days holed up in a vacation home deep in the mountains. Of course, the place wasn't exactly rustic and had all the comforts of home like a kitchen and several bathrooms. That's my kind of wilderness experience! As yummy as this meal looked in the picture, I was shocked when I took the lid off and saw a bunch of dry pasta, with very little sauce to go with them. The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente, but the sauce was way too sparce, and there were very few chunks of sausage stew included in the meal. What sausage there was didn't taste like a high quality sausage. There were a few bell peppers and onions sprinkled throughout, but again, not nearly as many as I saw in the picture. If you're looking to see if your food is ready in a dutch oven, don't get too careless, be cautious or you will sprinkle your meal with some natural salt and pepper. This yummy kind of salt sausage casserole and pasta pepper is actually ash that falls off the lid of the dutch oven as it is being removed from the dutch oven stove. Don't worry too much about it though because it really doesn't taste terrible and it isn't a health concern. Although it does leave a nice texture. This leads to a perfect example of a feedback loop, and a potentially deadly one at that. Cutting back on salt gradually will actually reduce your craving for it. If you add more fresh vegetables to your diet and remember that many processed meats already have plenty of sodium in them think bacon then you will realize that adding slow cooker sausage casserole all the extra salt really is not necessary. B) I was searching for a product to change my slow cooker and preferably wanted a stainless steel insert. That is not simple to find but I did discover the Instant Pot IP-LUX60. Pressure cooking was foreign to me but since I started to study more, I understood this sounded even better than slow cooking. I received the pot in a timely manner and it is a good-looking piece. My first food was chicken breasts that has been frozen. That's correct, I put frozen chicken breasts with onions and a can of rotel and seasonings. If you just want to do something a little different-then just do it. Nothing is stopping you but your own brain. It is telling you that you absolutely need instructions on how to do something that for years was improvised. Our grandparents certainly didn't use a recipe, and if they didn't, it wasn't nearly as exact as ours.
