Try whole crockpot chicken kebabs with peanut and sweet chili dipping sauces and spring rolls (you can find wrappers for these at a well-stocked grocery store) at one station; pulled pork and sweet onions in barbecue sauce over toast points with pineapple and papaya on skewers at another; and another with tiny meatballs on toothpicks in three flavors: Swedish, barbecue, and Italian.
The recipe below is a good, easy basic chicken crock pot recipe. Using a whole chicken cut-up works well as does just boneless skinless chicken breasts. You can purchase packages of all chicken breasts, thighs or legs which your favorite part of the chicken can be used.
Fish sauce adds special flavor. You can find it in Asian markets (the supermarket brands are usually too bland) under such names as nam pla or nuoc nam. It's usually in tall bottles and is made from salty, fermented fish. Most chicken curry recipes suggest white breast meat but don't hesitate to experiment with dark meat. The stronger flavor blends well in this complex and spicy dish.
To each his own, but I wasn't very fond of the Louisiana Supreme Chicken Wing Sauce. You can give it a try if you wish, but I would suggest spending your money on a heartier and thicker sauce next time you need to baste, marinate, or barbecue wings.
